One of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Sikhs and Hindus, Manikaran Sahib sits above the famous hot springs that have been geothermally active for thousands of years. The Gurudwara serves free langar (community meal) cooked using the steam from the natural hot springs.
The boiling hot springs that bubble naturally from the earth are used to cook the Gurudwara langar. Bathing in the hot kunds (pools) is believed to cure skin diseases and provide spiritual cleansing.
